Electrode and Vial Starter Kit

The starter kit allows customer to explore electrochemical possibilities with different reaction scales. Further selection of electrodes can be explored on the accessory page. Two approaches are provided as examples. Graphite is an affordable carbon electrode for an early stage discovery; RVC is a carbon foam electrode that has larger surface area which becomes helpful to improve electron efficiency; glassy carbon is not only metal free but also has even surface. These electrodes are included in the starter package. The other carbon based material option is boron doped diamond which is a metal free carbon material. Carbon based materials are extremely helpful in the syntheses of C-C and C-N bond forming reactions. Platinum is useful to C-C bond formation. It can be used as sacrificial anode and cathode that facilitates proton reduction. Platinum foil and platinum plated on ceramics are provided by IKA.
